Yami Gautam is an Indian film and televion actress. She is playing the role of lead actress in coming movie “Vicky Donor”. Yami is from Punjab. Show business is not a new thing for her. Her father Mukesh Gautam is executive producer of Zee Punjabi and Zee News.

She had been a topper and meritorious student. She was in merit list of her Law degree. Yami wanted to be an IAS officer but destiny took her towards acting. She has left full time studies for acting and now she is doing part time graduation from Mumbai. Yami is fond of reading,interior decoration, listening to music.

She made her debut on Television with Chand Ke Paar Chalo but her claim to fame was Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam aired on Colors. In 2011, she made her debut in Telugu cinema, enacting a lead role in Ravi Babu’s Nuvvila, following which she acted in Punjabi film Ek Noor playing the older version of Rabiha. But she is better known for her role in Kannada Movie Ullasa Utsaha. She is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Vicky Donor where she’s cast opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. Post her Bollywood debut in Vicky Donor, Yami Gautam is taking things rather slow for a while. In fact, the actress says that since her first Hindi film proved to be a runaway success at the box office, she can afford to be a bit choosey with her future projects. Buzz is that she in Vipul Shah’s next but the actress refuses to reveal any detail.


Yami says, `I do have a couple of good offers but I am under no pressure to choose one right away. After all, my debut film was a hit! When I sign my next, I am sure my director will announce the news.`
